Oulun Energia to hire new CEO

Juha Juntunen, the current CEO of Oulun Energia, is moving to a new role outside of Oulun Energia in August 2023. The company’s Board of Directors have initiated the process to select a new CEO.

Juha Juntunen has been CEO of Oulun Energia for three and a half years. During his term, the company has modernised its production structure, invested in cleaner and renewable energy production and taken big steps towards carbon neutrality. Investing in customer experience and security of supply of heat and electricity have helped Oulun Energia to achieve great results regardless of the turbulent operating environment of the past few years.

“We have worked tirelessly to develop Oulun Energia into a modern, customer-oriented, responsible and reliable company. The changes we have made together with our investments to navigate the energy transition provide a stable foundation for the company’s long-term success. The company is on top form and its employees are seasoned professionals, so I am in a good position to pass the baton to my successor as I take the next step in my career”, Juha Juntunen says.

The Chair of the Board of Oulun Energia thanks Juntunen for all of his hard work.
