District heating contract terms to change in Oulu and Kemi on 1 June 2026

The district heating contract terms and conditions of Oulun Energia Oy and Oulun Energia Kenve Oy will be updated on 1 June 2026. The grounds for the amendments are substantial changes in legislation and circumstances, the renewal of outdated contractual or pricing arrangements, and the implementation of measures necessary to improve energy efficiency.
The most significant change concerns customer communications. In future, we will primarily send information about changes to district heating prices or terms and conditions electronically to the email address provided by the customer.
Customers may continue to receive notices on paper by informing our customer service team. This change does not apply to district heating billing or disruption notifications.
The new terms and conditions will enter into force on 1 June 2026, and the change does not require any action from customers. Once customers have received information about the change, they have the right to terminate their heat supply contract within 30 days, with the contract ending after a one-month notice period. Customers will be sent a personal notification about the change to the contract terms and conditions.
