Types of electricity agreements
A wide range of electricity network agreements for different needs are available to our customers. We have compiled information about what kinds of electricity network agreements you may need as an electricity user, whether you are a consumer or a corporate client.
The table below outlines in which situations an agreement is needed, what actions the agreement requires from the customer, and who the parties to the agreement are. In addition, the table shows each agreement’s content and terms and conditions. Click on the agreement type to view the applicable terms and conditions.
A property owner must sign a connection agreement with a local electricity network distributor. For example, if you are building a home, establish a connection agreement at the start of construction, even before you need to use electricity. This is not a concern in an apartment building, as it falls under the responsibility of the property owner.
When a property reaches the end of its life cycle and there is no more need for electricity, you may transfer the electricity connection to a retainer agreement. In this case, we cut off the electricity supply and remove the electricity meter. A retained connection will remain ready for electricity use and the connection agreement is still valid. Retainer fees are indicated in our electricity connection price list.
In general, an electricity user must have at least two separate electricity agreements, i.e., an electricity network agreement and a sale of electricity agreement. As an electricity user, you can sign a sale of electricity agreement with your preferred electricity supplier. The local electricity network distributor will then also be notified of the agreement. As a customer, you do not need to contact the electricity network distributor separately.
If there is production equipment at the place of electricity use, such as solar panels, enter into a producer’s sale of electricity agreement with your preferred electricity supplier in order to sell any surplus electricity. The local network distributor will then also be notified of the agreement for production. If you are just planning to start using new production equipment, contact your local network distributor first. It will be possible to enter into an agreement with the electricity supplier after first contact.
