Pirjo Kivari has started as Oulun Energia’s new director of finance
Pirjo Kivari started as Oulun Energia’s new director of finance and as a member of the Group’s executive board at the beginning of September. She is responsible for the management and development of the Group’s finances and financing. She moved to Oulun Energia from her position of director of finance and human resources at Kaleva Media Group.
The director of finance plays a key role in the company’s future as it heavily invests in renewable energy solutions in the future and in its goal of achieving carbon neutrality in 2030. Kivari is particularly interested in the opportunity to promote the green transition, the energy transition, and responsibility:
“When I was presented with the opportunity to become the director of finance for Oulun Energia, I became interested in the possibility to be involved in building a carbon-neutral future together with one of Finland’s largest urban energy companies.”
Kivari is from Oulu and graduated as a Master of Economic Sciences from the University of Oulu. She also has degrees accrediting her as a KHT auditor and as a Certified Board Member (HHJ). In addition to working at Kaleva Media, her previous work experience includes working as the CFO of NetHawk Oyj and the University of Oulu, and as an auditor at EY and KPMG.
