Oulun Energia's special offer for fertiliser ash has been very popular. In accordance with the offer, we have supplied fertiliser ash free of charge to forest owners during 2020-2021.

To our delight, forest owners have been actively interested in fertiliser ash. So active that we have to state, shortly before the end of the year, that all the ash deliveries according to the production of the Toppila power plant have been agreed, and unfortunately there was not enough fertiliser ash for everyone. In the future, Rakeistus Oy will be responsible for providing Oulun Energia's fertiliser ash to forest owners.

During our offer, approximately 20,000 tonnes of ash have been delivered as forest fertiliser. The amount is enough to  fertilise an area of 5,000 to 6,000 hectares, and the increase in growth over a 20- to 30-year period is about 300,000 to 450,000 cubic metres.
