A helicopter will check the condition of the power lines in the Oulu area, weather permitting on Saturday 18 December 2021.
The helicopter flights originally scheduled for Friday 17 December 2021 were cancelled due to flight safety risks. The flight is scheduled to take place on Saturday 18 December 2021. The exact flight time cannot be estimated, as it depends on the prevailing weather conditions.
The inspection areas are Iinatti, Pikkarala, Sanginjoki, Kiiminki, and Yli-Ii. The flight will take place at the height of the treetops.
The snow accumulated on the trees has caused outages all over Finland, so we will intensify the fault patrol with helicopter inspections. The purpose of the inspection is to identify and remove any trees that endanger the security of electricity supply.
We apologise for any noise nuisance caused by the helicopter flight.
