The plan describes how Oulun Energia Sähköverkko Oy will develop its distribution network in a way to ensure sufficient capacity and how it will continue to meet the requirements set for security of supply in the future. Client consultations are a part of the preparation of the electric power network’s development plan.

Through the consultations, we share information about the network operator’s operations and the development needs of the distribution network and the reasons behind them. The development plan includes, among other things, forecasts of the changes in the operating environment over the next ten years and the development of the electric power network’s cabling rate. In the development plan, we also present the location of free capacity in Oulun Energia Sähköverkko Oy’s distribution network and assesses how the energy transition and the electrification of society will affect future investment needs.

Client consultations on the electric power network’s development plan can be submitted between 1 May and 31 May 2024.
