Kemin Energia ja Vesi Oy is now Oulun Energia Kenve Oy
The official company name of Kemin Energia ja Vesi Oy (Kenve) changed on 31 December 2025 to Oulun Energia Kenve Oy. A 60% shareholding in Kenve was transferred to Oulun Energia on 1 September 2025. As a result of the acquisition, Kenve became a subsidiary of Oulun Energia, and the integration of the company’s operations into those of Oulun Energia was initiated. Under the agreed service contracts, Oulun Energia will henceforth be responsible for providing all of Kenve’s operational services.
As a natural continuation, the current Kenve brand and visual identity will be phased out, and the company will move under the Oulun Energia Group’s parent brand. In the future, the new Oulun Energia Kenve logo will appear on invoices, contract confirmations, company vehicles, power plants, and employees’ workwear. Kenve’s website will also be merged with Oulun Energia’s website during 2026.
Oulun Energia’s strategy is to pursue strong growth through the green transition. Operating under a single brand brings synergy, control, and impact to its activities.
