Changes to Oulun Energia Sähköverkko Oy’s network service fees and terms
Starting January 1, 2025, our network service fees will increase. Also, our network service terms will be updated on December 1, 2024. Oulun Energia Sähköverkko Oy will inform its customers of these changes during week 40.

Our subsidiary Syklo, circular economy company, to commercialise state-of-the-art biocomposite internationally
Finnish Circular economy company Syklo has bought 100% of the share capital of biocomposite company Elastopoli. The acquisition reinforces Syklo’s investments in advancing the circular economy in line with its growth strategy. The company’s goal is to achieve an even higher degree of circular economy rate and to refine recycled materials into more valuable products.

Oulun Energia’s subsidiary Syklo Oy has decided to proceed with the construction of Finland’s largest plastic recycling plant in phases
Oulun Energia's subsidiary Syklo Oy announced in February that it plans to build Finland's largest plastic recycling plant in Hyvinkää. The 50,000-tonne plastic recycling plant will increase Finland’s plastic recycling capacity by up to 50 per cent and will enable annual savings of up to 25 million euros for the Finnish national economy as a result of the reduction in the EU Plastic Tax. The plant will also reduce Finland’s estimated greenhouse gas emissions by up to 160,000 tonnes (CO2eq) annually, provided that all the plastic recycled by the plant comes is diverted from incineration. The project’s strategic partner is the Scottish Impact Recycling.
