Elvera to Continue as Oulun Energia Sähköverkko’s Contracting Partner
Elvera Oy and Oulun Energia Sähköverkko Oy began their cooperation on electricity network contracting services at the beginning of 2024 with a three‑year agreement valid until the end of 2026. We have now decided to exercise the two option years included in the contract, meaning that the cooperation will continue until the end of 2028.

Finland’s Largest Wind Farm Completed – OX2 Has Handed Over the Lestijärvi Wind Farm to Its Owners
The Lestijärvi wind farm has been completed and handed over to its owners. The wind farm is owned by a consortium formed by Finnish energy companies Kymppivoima, Oulun Energia and Kuopion Energia. With a total of 69 turbines and an output of 455.4 megawatts, it is the largest wind farm in Finland, and it was built by the renewable energy company OX2.

Kemin Energia ja Vesi Oy is now Oulun Energia Kenve Oy
The official company name of Kemin Energia ja Vesi Oy (Kenve) changed on 31 December 2025 to Oulun Energia Kenve Oy. A 60% shareholding in Kenve was transferred to Oulun Energia on 1 September 2025. As a result of the acquisition, Kenve became a subsidiary of Oulun Energia, and the integration of the company’s operations into those of Oulun Energia was initiated. Under the agreed service contracts, Oulun Energia will henceforth be responsible for providing all of Kenve’s operational services.
