Electricity connection price list
For a connection fee, you have the right to join Oulun Energia Sähköverkko Oy's distribution network.
The connection fee does not include the cost of building the connection line from the connection point to the switchboard. This usually means a cable on the subscriber’s property. Read the Terms and Conditions of the contract.
For low-voltage connections, the connection fee is determined by the main fuse size. For medium- and high-voltage connections, the connection capacity from the electrical power grid is defined in the connection contract.

Grounds for determining connection fees are laid out in Oulun Energia Sähköverkko Oy's guidelines Electricity connection pricing criteria and construction instructions starting from 1 December 2020.
For zone-priced low-voltage connections, the connection fee can be calculated using the formula
a + b × P, where
a = in zone 1: EUR 573 VAT 0%.
a = in zones 2 and 3: EUR 3,123 VAT 0%.
b = Capacity booking fee: EUR 33.3/kVA VAT 0%.
P = Connection capacity of the subscriber kVA
Zone pricing
For zone 1, the connection fees are valid in the urban zoning areas and where the connection point is located no more than 50 metres outside the zoning area. This excludes public areas, street areas, and traffic areas, in accordance with the Land-use and Building Act as recorded in the land register.
For zone 2, the connection fees are valid outside the urban zoning area insofar as they are located no more than 600 metres from the existing substation, as measured from the connection point, and the main fuse size of the connection is no more than 3 x 250 A.
For zone 3, the connection fees are valid in the urban zoning areas when the connection is located in a public area, street area, or traffic area, in accordance with the Land-use and Building Act recorded in the land register, and the connection point is somewhere else than in the existing substation of the network operator, the distribution cabinet, or an overhead cable/pole, and the main fuse size of the connection is no more than 3 x 250 A.
The connection fees for low-voltage subscriptions at zone prices are exempt from VAT and are refundable.
Outside of zone pricing, the connection fee for a low-voltage connection is determined on a case-by-case basis or by forming a regional pricing plan for a continuous area. The connection fee for zone pricing and case-by-case pricing is subject to VAT and is non-refundable.
The connection fee for medium- and high-voltage connections of 10 kV or 20 kV or 110 kV.
The connection fee for medium-voltage connections and high-voltage connections is subject to VAT and is non-refundable.

Generation connection’s connection fee
The connection fee for a generation connection (0.4 kV, 10 kV, 20 kV and 110 kV). The connection fee for a generation connection is subject to VAT and is non-refundable.
